Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026 · Effective on first access.

Who we are

grubstake.gg is operated by FN Scary Games LLC, a Nevada limited liability company doing business as grubstake.gg, with a mailing address at [NEVADA MAILING ADDRESS] ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the grubstake.gg website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, and either a password (hashed before storage) or your OAuth identity from Discord or Google. During onboarding you choose a handle and display name and may provide a role, platform list, bio, social links, and an avatar image.

Age and Terms attestation. When you sign up we record that you confirmed you are 18 or older and accepted the Terms of Service, along with the timestamp of that confirmation.

Content you create. Posts, conversations, comments, portfolio uploads, votes, saved items, and badges you earn.

Activity signals. Anonymous, session-scoped page-visit counters used for aggregate visitor metrics. Bot user-agents are filtered at the source.

Technical data. When you access the Service, our hosting infrastructure may automatically receive standard log data — IP address, user agent, request timestamps, referrer — used for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics.

Cookies and similar technologies.See "Cookies and tracking" below.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the Service — render your profile, surface posts and conversations, award badges, compute aggregate metrics
  • Authenticate you and keep your session secure
  • Communicate with you about your account, Service updates, security notices, and your requests
  • Send you optional activity digests — by email or Discord direct message — summarizing comments, votes, and saves on your posts. You can turn these off any time in Settings, and every digest email includes a one-click unsubscribe link
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, harassment, and other policy violations
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
  • Improve the Service and develop new features

We do not sell your personal data. We do not run third-party advertising on the Service. We do not use your content to train third-party AI or machine-learning models.

Who can see what

Your handle, display name, profile, posts, comments, conversations, votes, badges, and portfolio uploads are publicly visible on the Service by design, including to non-signed-in visitors and search engines.

Your contact information — the social links you add to your profile — is only displayed to other signed-in members. Casual visitors and search engines do not see it.

Your email address, password, age attestation, and internal logs are private to you and our operations.

We do not host private messaging. There are no direct messages on grubstake.gg. Members connect through the contact links each member chooses to display on their profile, using channels they control. We never see, store, or moderate those conversations.

How we share your information

We share personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers. We use vetted infrastructure providers to run the Service, including Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) and our hosting provider. They process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • OAuth providers. If you sign in with Discord or Google, those providers send us identifying information (email, name, avatar) per the consent you grant them. Your interactions with those providers are governed by their own privacy policies.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, or government requests; to enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or FN Scary Games LLC; or to investigate fraud or security incidents.
  • Business transfers. If FN Scary Games LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality terms.

Cookies and tracking

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in (managed by Supabase Auth) and an anonymous analytics cookie to deduplicate page-visit counts. Neither cookie is used for cross-site tracking or advertising.

We do not knowingly respond to "Do Not Track" signals because there is no consensus standard, but our default behavior is consistent with the spirit of that signal — we don't track you across other sites or sell your data.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to fix information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
  • Portability — request a machine-readable copy of information you provided
  • Opt out of sale or sharing — we don't sell or "share" (as defined under the CCPA/CPRA) personal information, but you have the right to confirm this
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

Most of these rights you can exercise yourself: edit your profile, change your email, or delete your account from your dashboard. For anything else, email privacy@grubstake.gg. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 45 days under CCPA/CPRA, 30 days under GDPR).

EU/UK residents. The legal bases on which we process your personal data are: (a) performance of our contract with you (operating the Service); (b) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service; (c) your consent, where required; and (d) compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after to operate backups, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, conversations, comments, portfolio uploads, badges, and saved items are permanently removed within a commercially reasonable timeframe; backups are overwritten on our standard rotation. Anonymous, aggregate analytics (such as visit counters) may persist indefinitely.

Data security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption of credentials at rest, role-based access controls, and dependency on infrastructure providers (Supabase, our host) with industry-standard certifications. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us at privacy@grubstake.gg and we will delete it.

Storage and international transfers

Personal information is stored on infrastructure operated by Supabase (Postgres and object storage) and our hosting provider, with servers primarily located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from those of your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
